Rainbow Trout
We receive a lot of interest and questions regarding
stocking Trout in ponds. If this is something you want to
do, you should consider. Trout will most likely not survive
the summer months in your pond. What I recommend
doing is to stock trout in late fall or early spring. This will
give you the maximum amount of time to fish and
harvest your Trout before the water temperature is too
warm for trout to live. Once the temperature reaches
approx. 68 degrees Trout will struggle to survive and
simply die and sink to the bottom. However, under some
circumstances  where oxygen and temperature levels
can be sustained, Trout can survive year round. If you
have any questions regarding this, we can help you
increase your chances in sustaining a Trout population
year round.
