The above fish type and quantity can vary depending on your overall objective. We have over 20 years experience in stocking ponds. If you want to grow trophy fish or just have good fishing, We can help you get there. The most important aspect of stocking a pond is getting the predator fish and forage fish ratio correct.
Example: If your objective is to grow trophy Largemouth Bass. You would not stock as many Bass and increase the amount of forage fish. Bass need about 10lbs of forage fish per lb. of body weight annually to grow. The more forage fish you have with less competition, the quicker and bigger your Bass will grow. Forage fish include Bluegill and minnows. Bluegill are usually the less expensive way to go, because adult Bluegill will reproduce rapidly and produce large amount of forge. If you have any questions, just ask us and we will be glad to help you achieve your fishing paradise in any way.
