BlueGill

Bluegill are a great fish to stock in Ohio ponds. They will provide good fishing most of the year and their fillets have an excellent flavor. Bluegill are also a good and economical forage fish for Bass ponds. Adult Bluegill are typically  too big for Bass to eat and proliferate throughout the summer months, therefore they are
considered a great food source for predator fish.
